Junior Web Designer Position

We are seeking a full time Junior Web Designer responsible for assisting in the back-end and front-end development of clients WordPress websites. This position requires a combination of basic programming skills (namely WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and some basic JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). Ideally you will be from a web/graphic design background or a college leaver with an interest to develop your career in the field of web design and development and is also willing to learn and gain new skills. You will be working from our office in the Golden Mile alongside 2 other team members. We will provide iMac computer with Adobe subscription.

  • Executing list of general web design tasks in Basecamp created by project managers for ad hoc jobs on clients websites such as graphic changes, texts changes, additions, new features, troubleshooting, mobile issues.
  • Work on new website projects using DIVI*
  • Work on landing page designs in Unbounce*
  • Assist with GetDrip funnel setups*
  • Using InfiniteWP to update plugins and themes for our maintenance clients*
  • Sitting in on client meetings with senior partner

* training will be given

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months experience with WordPress however training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Fast and willing learner
  • You will need a high level of spoken, written English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of working with Apple Mac
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator to create new graphics and ability to optimise graphics and a good eye for graphic design
  • Understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools such as Google Chrome Inspector
  • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
  • Ability to understand page speed optimisation and the effects of load speed on user experience and the relationship of page speed with search engines (training given)


  • Professional working environment
  • Monday to Friday 9am until 6pm (with 1 hour lunch break from 1pm to 2pm)
  • 20 days holiday per year
  • Affiliate referral scheme (10% bonus on referrals – no earnings cap)
  • Permanent contract after three month trial
  • Starting salary of €800 Nett with review after 3 months
