Plain FTP is a security hazard because when you connect to the remote server you are sending your username and password over the internet in PLAIN text, so it can be intercepted with ease.
PLEASE NEVER USE PLAIN FTP! NEVER! ONCE YOU SEND YOUR CREDENTIALS OVER PLAIN FTP THEY ARE OUT THERE ON THE INTERNET FOR THE HACKERS TO FIND.
The servers at JUCRA Digital are configured for Explicit FTP over TLS meaning that the connection between your computer and the server is encrypted, ie safe to transit data.
