Cloudlinux PHP X-RAY Tracing

You are reading this article because we have informed you that we are running PHP X-RAY on your website.

What is PHP X-RAY?
PHP X-RAY is a way for us, as systems administrators to determine the root cause of a slowdown on your website. Usually, we initialise "PHP X-Ray Tracing" when a customer complains that their site is running slow on our servers or if we detect a site is using a lot of resources, we will initiate a tracing.

It provides detailed information on performance bottlenecks in websites that use CMSes such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.

Does X-Ray affect website performance?
X-Ray affects website performance. During tracing, there will be a 5-10 % overhead from a website loading time with X-Ray tracing enabled. X-Ray allows us to find website performance issues and is not enabled permanently.
