You are reading this article because you are an individual or a company based out of Switzerland and we have sent you an invoice containing VAT/IVA on the invoice.
Unfortunately, unlike years ago, Switzerland is not automatically fully exempt from VAT from EU countries.
The standard rate of VAT/IVA applied to any non exempt tax individual/company is 21%.
If you are a private individual, then you have to pay VAT on your invoice regardless if you are buying from outside of Switzerland.
If you are a company, then you can be exempt but we need your Registered Company Tax ID/UID (Unternehmens-Identifikationsnummer) starting with CHE and we will use that to verify the company, then we can assign your company as tax free and remove the VAT from the invoice.
