I am not receiving emails from my web forms

Knowledge base article id: 36

You are reading this article because 1. your email is NOT hosted on the same server as the web site and 2. you have a website with email forms and when the form is completed they are not being received to your email address.

The most likely cause for this situation would be that your email form is working just fine, but does not know that it has to send the email to your remote email server so even though the email is being generated, its most likely being "lost" somewhere within the local web site server.

Its a common scenario on cpanel servers if the local MX record settings are not being told where to send the emails it will try and deliver them locally and when it can't it just "blackholes" them.

Below is a screenshot of how the cpanel dns records should be configured if you have your website on one server and your email on another.
