Subfolder Email Trick

Knowledge base article id: 37

This is a great little trick if you want certain emails to bypass your inbox and be sent to an IMAP subfolder inside your main email account.

This is very useful if you need to set up multiple email accounts for different services but want to receive the emails to one single email account.

INSTRUCTIONS
Let's assume your email address is joe@bloggs.com

If you send an email to joe+private_emails@bloggs.com the email is routed to joe@bloggs.com but the email will NOT appear in your inbox, it will be sent to a folder within your mail account called private_emails. The folder gets created automatically.
