Mailgun Settings for Outlook (JUCRA SMTP)

You are reading this article as you are using Microsoft Outlook and need to configure it for use with mailgun SMTP.

First, if you are not comfortable with configuring your email client, please seek the help of an IT professional, they will know exactly what to do, otherwise, follow the instructions below.

Alternatively schedule a remote session here: www.jucra.com/remote-support/ and we will endeavour to assist you as part of our email support policy.

This tutorial assumes you have received a welcome email from us containing your username and password for the special SMTP account.

Open your settings for your email. The one below is for Outlook 2016 but from very earlier version of outlook they are the same.

STEP 1 - change the outgoing mail server name

Change the Outgoing mail server (SMTP)  to smtp.eu.mailgun.org

Then click on the More Settings button

STEP 2 - activate the external outgoing server

Click the Outgoing Server Tab to allow you to enter your username and password for the outgoing server.

Check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

Check the button for Use same settings as my incoming mail server

Then enter the username and password we sent you in your welcome email.

Once you have done that, you can click the Advanced Tab.

STEP 3 - check SMTP port settings

Click the Advanced tab and make sure that the ports below are as shown in the screenshot below.
