You are reading this article because we host your Rackspace email and you are sending emails to recipients but they are bouncing back claiming it's due to some kind of blacklisting.
-or-
Your Rackspace email account keeps getting blocked due to your computer being on a "bad IP" or "bad neighbourhood" and you are NOT able to change your IP address with your ISP.
-or-
Your Rackspace email account has been rate limited and you have exceeded your daily amount of sending emails.
This SMTP service is offered as a complimentary benefit to active clients, provided as a gesture of goodwill. It is considered an extra service beyond the scope of standard support, and as such, there is no guarantee of availability or expectation of ongoing service.
We have created a failover SMTP system that allows you to use a different, clean* SMTP service for sending emails.
*This failover SMTP service is not a silver bullet to resolve sending issues and guarantee delivery, it's merely in place to ensure you have a backup option in the case the main IP's at Rackspace gets blacklisted or your account disabled due to a bad neighbourhood situation.
This failover SMTP service is and should only be used in emergencies, such as a mass blacklisting of our regular sending IP's or your account is disabled and/or continues to be disabled.
If you need a failover SMTP account, please read below.
1. Please raise a ticket to hello@jucra.com 2. Tell us for which email account(s) you need the SMTP server for. We will then review the request and, once approved, send you the credentials. This can take between 0-24 hours. |
NOTE: The user name and password for this failover service are different from your incoming mail account, so depending on which email client you are using, you need to adjust the settings in your client accordingly.
