You are reading this article because we host your Rackspace email and you are sending emails to recipients but they are bouncing back claiming it's due to some kind of blacklisting.
-or-
Your Rackspace email account keeps getting blocked due to your computer being on a "bad IP" or "bad neighbourhood" and you are NOT able to change your IP address with your ISP.
-or-
Your Rackspace email account has been rate limited and you have exceeded your daily amount of sending emails.
This SMTP service is provided free of charge to current clients on the understanding that this is an "above and beyond" service and is provided on a "gesture of goodwill" basis.
We have created a failover SMTP system that allows you to use a different, clean* SMTP service for sending emails.
*This failover SMTP service is not a silver bullet to resolve sending issues and guarantee delivery, it's merely in place to ensure you have a backup option in the case the main IP's at Rackspace gets blacklisted or your account disabled due to a bad neighbourhood situation.
This failover SMTP service is and should only be used in emergency situations, such as a mass blacklisting of our regular sending IP's or your account is disabled and/or continues to be disabled.
If you need a failover smtp account, please read below.
If you need an SMTP account then please raise a ticket to hello@jucra.com and tell us for which email account you need the smtp server for and we will review the request and once approved, send you the credentials. |
NOTE: The user name and password for this failover service are different than your incoming mail account so depending on which email client you are using, then you need to adjust the settings in your client accordingly.
