WhatsApp has become one of the easiest ways for customers to contact a business. Instead of completing a form, copying a telephone number or waiting for an email response, visitors can click a button and immediately start a WhatsApp conversation.

We originally developed JUCRA WhatsApp for our own client websites because we wanted more flexibility than a simple WhatsApp link could provide.

The result is a lightweight WordPress plugin that gives website owners control over where their WhatsApp call-to-action appears, how it looks and what information is included when a visitor starts a conversation.

We’ve now made JUCRA WhatsApp available as a free WordPress plugin.

Know what your customer is enquiring about

A WhatsApp message saying only “Hello” doesn’t give your team much context. JUCRA WhatsApp can automatically include information from the page that generated the enquiry.

For example, an estate agent can place a WhatsApp enquiry button on every property page without manually configuring a different message for every property.

The page title and other information can be inserted dynamically, making the same shortcode useful across hundreds or even thousands of pages.

Useful lead attribution built in

JUCRA WhatsApp can pass useful context into the conversation so you have a better idea where an enquiry originated.

If you’re using Google Ads, social media, email campaigns or other marketing links containing UTM parameters, available campaign information can be included with the WhatsApp enquiry.

Place WhatsApp buttons anywhere

The floating CTA is only part of the plugin. A shortcode lets you insert a WhatsApp button into WordPress content, templates, property details, products, contact sections and compatible page builders.

Shortcode buttons are independent of the global floating button, so you can exclude the floating CTA from a page while still adding a specific WhatsApp button within its content.

Control where WhatsApp appears

The floating button can be positioned around the edge of the browser window, including top-left, top-middle, top-right, left-middle, right-middle, bottom-left, bottom-middle and bottom-right.

You can also exclude specific relative URLs where the floating button isn’t appropriate.
